Jan 19, 2019 If you are still keeping hard drives with previous OS's on them for using legacy programs like FCS on a Mac Pro 5,1, do not update to High Sierra. It installs a firmware update that prevents booting from drives with a previous OS. There is a thread about it over on the FCP X forum. I still use DVDSP so will not be updating my 5,1 to High Sierra.
